HARRISBURG — Attorney General Dave Sunday announced the appointments of two senior personnel positions — Ron Eisenberg as Executive Deputy Attorney General and Chief of the Civil Division, and Ben Wren as Deputy Chief of Staff.

Attorney General Sunday said of the appointments:

“I am thrilled to have Ron and Ben joining my senior team in these roles. Ron has been a dedicated member of the Attorney General team for many years. His experience and knowledge will be invaluable to the Civil Division. I look forward to him helping me represent the Commonwealth in impactful, complex civil litigation.

“Ben has been a trusted advisor and spokesman for me for the last several years. He has a wealth of experience and relationships that he brings to the Office of Attorney General. Pennsylvania and the Office of Attorney General will benefit greatly with Ron and Ben serving in leadership roles.”

Ron Eisenberg attended the University of Pennsylvania Law School and has served as a supervising attorney in the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General for the past six years. Before coming to the office, he was the head of the law division at the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office for 25 years, supervising 60 lawyers, reviewing executive and administrative policies, and overseeing the office’s state and federal appellate work, legislative activity, and civil litigation.

Ben Wren’s oversight portfolio will include the Communications, Government Affairs, Constituent Services, and Public Engagement departments, and he will advise the Attorney General on matters at hand. Prior to joining the Office of Attorney General, Ben was an associate and consultant with Long Nyquist & Associates in Harrisburg and served as a spokesperson for Attorney General Sunday’s campaign. Previously, Wren served as a Chief of Staff in the Pa. State Senate and as a longtime advisor to President Pro Tempore Kim Ward.
