Certain businesses are required to register with the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General to help protect consumers and promote fair business practices. Registration requirements apply to specific industries, such as telemarketers, health clubs, and professional fundraisers, and help ensure businesses comply with state laws. These registrations provide accountability, increase transparency, and give consumers confidence when doing business in Pennsylvania.

Home Improvement Contractor Registration

Contractors who perform $5,000 or more of home improvements a year must register under HICPA. Register, renew, or update online through the PA-HICRS system.

Health Club Registration

Health clubs that enter into member contracts longer than three months must register with the Bureau of Consumer Protection and maintain proof of financial security.

Telemarketing Registration

Businesses that use the telephone to sell goods and services or solicit charitable contributions in Pennsylvania must register under the Telemarketer Registration Act.

Uniform Planned Community Registration

Planned communities with more than 12 units carry escrow, bonding, and disclosure obligations for homeowners associations under the UPCA.

Fireworks Display Registration

Register public fireworks displays with the Office of Attorney General before the event.
