HARRISBURG — Attorney General Dave Sunday announced that a Schuylkill County man will serve up to 16 years in prison for possessing dozens of child sexual abuse material (CSAM) files.
Robert Troutman, 58, pleaded guilty this week to felony counts of sexual abuse of children. A Schuylkill County Judge sentenced Troutman to 8 to 16 years in prison, and ordered that Troutman, upon release, register as a sex offender for 15 years.
“This significant prison sentence considers the defendant’s conduct for what it is — exploitation and abuse of children,” Attorney General Sunday said. “Our Child Predator Section is committed to finding offenders online and putting a stop to their targeting of kids.”
Office of Attorney General agents responded to a tip that an IP address (matched to Troutman) was uploading CSAM. Upon serving a search warrant at Troutman’s Schuylkill Haven home in 2024, agents found more than 50 files of CSAM, most depicting very young children.
The case was prosecuted by Deputy Attorney General Kimberly Moraski.
