AG Sunday’s Child Predator Section Charges Wayne County Man with Possession of Child Sexual Abuse Material

HARRISBURG — Attorney General Dave Sunday announced that a Wayne County man was charged with possessing more than 100 files of child sexual abuse material.

Dylan Calvert, 32, of Hawley, was arrested last week and charged with more than 300 counts of sexual abuse of children and 1 count of criminal use of communication facility. His bail was set at $35,000. The preliminary hearing is scheduled for June 17.

“Every time a file of child sexual abuse material is viewed and shared it victimizes a child,” Attorney General Dave Sunday said. “Holding those who victimize children accountable is a core function of the Office of Attorney General.”

The Office of Attorney General investigation determined that Calvert was using a peer-to-peer platform to obtain more than 100 individual images of child sexual abuse material in December 2025. A search of Calvert’s residence uncovered the material on multiple electronic devices, including his Samsung cell phone. An additional iPhone belonging to Calvert was also taken pursuant to the search warrant.

As conditions of his bail, Calvert cannot have any internet access and no unsupervised contact with minors.

This case was investigated by the Office’s Child Predator Section and is being prosecuted by Deputy Attorney General Mary Phillips. Criminal charges, and any discussion thereof, are merely allegations and all defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
