HARRISBURG — Attorney General Dave Sunday announced hundreds of felony charges against a Luzerne County man regarding possession and dissemination of hundreds of child sexual abuse material (CSAM) videos and images.
Michael J. Grevera, 43, of Nanticoke, was recently arraigned on 663 felonies regarding possession of CSAM, 99 felonies for disseminating CSAM, and a related felony.
A magisterial district judge set bail at $250,000 (10 percent to post). If he posts bail, Grevera is prohibited from having contact with children and being within 500 feet of schools and playgrounds, and is not permitted to leave Luzerne County without permission.
“The voluminous illegal materials found in this case are deeply disturbing, and warrant these very serious charges,” Attorney General Sunday said. “The possession and dissemination of these types of heinous materials are unacceptable and a priority of the Office of Attorney General to root out.”
The investigation continues. Anyone with information about Grevera they feel law enforcement should know is asked to contact the Office of Attorney General at 800-385-1044.
Agents traced possession and sharing of CSAM to an IP address located at Grevera’s home. Late last month, agents served a search warrant at the East Union Street residence. Grevera initially lied about being home, but eventually came to the door.
Investigators seized electronic devices containing the CSAM, and determined Grevera shared at least 99 files.
The case will be prosecuted by the Office of Attorney General’s Child Predator Section. Criminal charges, and any discussion thereof, are merely allegations and all defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
