HARRISBURG — Attorney General Michelle Henry announced the arrest of a New Cumberland woman who is charged with possessing numerous files of child sexual abuse material, including those depicting abuse of very young children.

Victoria M. Carney, 27, was arrested Wednesday and charged with 19 counts of possessing child pornography and one count of criminal use of a communication facility — all felonies.

Carney was arraigned and bail was set at $250,000.

“This proactive investigation of online file-sharing allegedly uncovered a cache of disturbing files depicting very young children,” Attorney General Henry said. “My office is committed to finding predators who lurk in online forums and seek to exploit our most vulnerable citizens, children.”

The Office of Attorney General’s Child Predator Section, acting on a tip, uncovered lewd materials that were uploaded using social media platform, X (formerly Twitter). Agents tracked the activity to Carney.

Agents served a search warrant at Carney’s home on Rose Hill Drive and seized electronic devices containing the child sexual abuse material.

All charges are accusations. The defendant is innocent unless and until proven guilty.
