HARRISBURG – Attorney General Dave Sunday announced charges against 10 individuals from the Blair County area for distributing methamphetamine and heroin — including a woman who provided methamphetamine to her young children.

The recent arrests are part of an ongoing roundup of suspected drug traffickers in the Blair County area.

Among those charges are: Douglas Zimmerman, Kayla Smith, Damien Hild, Joseph Shaffer, Michael Light, Jarel Nimitz, Chelsey Judd, Lynetchie Alexis, Joshua Snyder, and Joseph Walker.

Investigators said the 10 individuals operated independently.

“In recent days, working with law enforcement partners, we actively pursued and arrested these drug traffickers, who peddled poison into the community and put people at risk,” Attorney General Sunday said. “These cases demonstrate that drug trafficking impacts every part of the Commonwealth, from major metropolitan areas to rural neighborhoods. We will remain tireless in our efforts to protect communities from this dangerous activity.”

Chelsey Judd is charged with allowing her children, both under age 5, to use methamphetamine and using drugs in their presence. Judd was charged with endangering the welfare of children, corruption of minors, placing another person in danger, simple assault and intent to deliver, conspiracy and related offenses.

The other defendants, including Snyder, Smith, Shaffer, Light, Alexis and Hild were each charged with felony possession with intent to deliver, conspiracy, and related offenses.

Zimmerman was charged with felony possession with intent to deliver, conspiracy, and related offenses.

Agents from the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General’s Bureau of Narcotics Drug Strike Force led the investigations, with the assistance of Pennsylvania State Police, Bellwood Police Department, Tyrone Police Department, Centre County Drug Task Force, Altoona Police Department, and Blair County Children, Youth, and Families.

The investigations remain ongoing.

Criminal charges, and any discussion thereof, are merely allegations and all defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
