HARRISBURG — Attorney General Dave Sunday announced that a Montgomery County man is charged with disseminating child sexual abuse material.
Alex Asunción, 42, is charged with 57 felonies regarding files found by the Office of Attorney General’s Child Predator Section. Asunción was arraigned and bail was set at $50,000. In the event bail is posted, he is to have no contact with minors.
“In this case, our agents discovered the defendant was sharing files depicting very young children in horrific acts,” Attorney General Sunday said. “Our commitment to stopping offenders who abuse and exploit children will not waver.”
Agents recently served a search warrant at Asunción’s Hatfield Township home where devices containing the material were seized.
The case will be prosecuted by Senior Deputy Attorney General Michelle Laucella. Criminal charges, and any discussion thereof, are merely allegations and all defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
