HARRISBURG – Attorney General Josh Shapiro today announced charges against seven individuals as part of an investigation into drug trafficking in Allegheny County. The 11-month investigation conducted by the Office of Attorney General’s Bureau of Narcotics Investigation and Gaming Unit resulted in the arrests of multiple individuals for selling cocaine and other controlled substances, and facilitating illegal gambling in McKeesport.
“Today, thanks to strong collaboration with our local law enforcement partners, we shut down a major drug trafficking operation in McKeesport,” said Attorney General Shapiro. “The defendants profited from selling dangerous drugs that have devastated lives across Western Pennsylvania. These arrests are a reminder that our office will pursue drug trafficking organizations no matter which community they prey upon in our Commonwealth.”
While executing search warrants, agents from the Office of Attorney General Bureau of Narcotics Investigation seized over 1,470 grams of cocaine with a street value of more than $147,000, 16 grams of crack cocaine with a street value of $1,600, 8.5 grams of heroin with a street value of $1,700, as well as three firearms.
The following individuals have been arrested as a result of the investigation into the criminal enterprise headed by Curtis Harper Jr.: Robert McLean, Earl McClinton, Isaiah Warren, Ramone Williams, Corry Sanders and Kaleb Howard.
The Office of Attorney General was assisted in its investigation by the Allegheny County District Attorney’s Narcotic Enforcement Team, the McKeesport Police Department, the White Oak Police Department, and the North Huntingdon Police Department.
These cases are being prosecuted by Chief Deputy Attorney General Mark Serge and Senior Deputy Attorney General Thomas Grace. All charges are accusations. The defendants are innocent unless and until proven guilty.
