HARRISBURG — Attorney General Dave Sunday announced that a California man has been sentenced between 75 to 150 years in prison after traveling across the country to sexually assault a 14-year-old girl in Blair County.

Don A. Robison, 44, of Milpitas, CA, was convicted by a Blair County jury in February of three counts of unlawful contact with a minor, two counts of indecent assault of a child, corruption of minors, and criminal use of a communication facility.

The sentencing judge deemed Robison a sexually violent predator.

“This defendant, a repeat offender, is a potential threat to any and every child in a free society,” Attorney General Sunday said. “He manipulated this child into feeling a false sense of security and entered their home to commit truly evil acts. Due to the sentence that our child predator section secured, this individual will never be in a position to harm a child again.”

Robison was already a registered sex offender in his home state when he targeted the Pennsylvania child.

The investigation revealed that Robison posed online as a 13-year-old child to befriend the child victim. Robison ultimately gained the child’s trust and traveled to her home in Altoona. He then convinced the child to turn off the home’s security systems, so he could get inside and sexually assault her.

The case was prosecuted by Deputy Attorney General Kimberly Moraski and Deputy Attorney General Jacob Jividen.
