HARRISBURG — Attorney General Dave Sunday, in response to the abrupt closures of Iron Hill Brewery locations, is advising Pennsylvania consumers who bought unused gift cards to dispute those purchases with their credit card company and consider filing a complaint with our Bureau of Consumer Protection.

Iron Hill Brewery recently closed all of its restaurant locations with little notice and subsequently filed Chapter 7 bankruptcy in New Jersey.

The Office of Attorney General is closely monitoring the situation and continues to field consumer complaints regarding unused gift cards and loyalty/rewards program balances.

”The sudden closure of this popular chain of restaurants has left Pennsylvanians with questions and concerns about gift cards and rewards balances,” Attorney General Sunday said. “We will continue to track developments in this matter on behalf of impacted consumers. For the time being, we are advising consumers to seek refunds from their credit card companies regarding gift card purchases.”

Consumers who are unable to redeem their Iron Hill Brewery gift cards and rewards may also submit a complaint to the Office of Attorney General’s Bureau of Consumer Protection at www.attorneygeneral.gov or call 717-787-3391.

Until recently, Iron Hill Brewery operated several locations in Pennsylvania.
