HARRISBURG — Attorney General Dave Sunday announced charges against a Philadelphia man who sent himself nude photos of five victims — by gaining access to their phones or phones of a partner — and posting the photos online.

Tyler J. Jones was charged Monday with dozens of offenses, including felony counts of unlawful use of a computer and unlawful duplication, and misdemeanor invasion of privacy and unlawful dissemination.

Jones was arraigned early Tuesday morning, when bail was set at $350,000 and he was ordered to have no contact with the victims.

Jones, now, 33, was previously convicted of secretly recording college students in a bathroom, then posting videos online.

In the recent case, he sent himself photos of the victims by gaining access to their phones or the phones of the victims’ partners.

”This is another example of cruel and despicable behavior by a repeat offender who continues to weaponize modern technology to expose victims online,” Attorney General Sunday said. “This criminal conduct traumatizes victims by impacting their careers, personal relationships, and almost every other aspect of their lives.”

The Office of Attorney General accepted the case on a referral from the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office, and subsequent investigation led to charges being filed this week by the Philadelphia Police Department.

In the previous case, Jones pleaded guilty to criminal use of a communication device and invasion of privacy.

The current case will be prosecuted by Deputy Attorney General Madelyn Abry. Criminal charges, and any discussion thereof, are merely allegations and all defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
