CASE UPDATE: Carbon County Man Pleads Guilty to Felony Child Predator Charges
HARRISBURG — Attorney General Josh Shapiro today announced a Carbon County man has pleaded guilty to having unlawful contact with a 16-year-old victim.
Jordan Beggan, 26, of Harvard Avenue, Palmerton, was charged in October 2017. Today Beggan pleaded guilty to felonies of unlawful contact with a minor and disseminating sexual materials to a minor. Beggan will have to register as a sex offender.
Beggan met the victim in late 2016. They began communicating first on their phones, then on an App thereafter. Beggan sent the victim messages that were sexual in nature and explicit pictures of himself. The victim’s parents contacted the police after learning of these communications.
