HARRISBURG — Graham Spanier was a former Penn State President found guilty by a jury of misdemeanor child endangerment over his handling of a 2001 complaint regarding Jerry Sandusky’s sexual abuse of a boy in the football team’s locker room. Today, the Pennsylvania Supreme Court denied Spanier’s Petition for Allowance of Appeal.
“We are pleased by the Supreme Court’s decision to deny Graham Spanier’s appeal,” said Attorney General Josh Shapiro. “No one is above the law, and my office will continue to pursue anyone who looks the other way in the face of child sexual abuse. There are consequences for failing to protect children in Pennsylvania.”
