HARRISBURG — Attorney General Dave Sunday announced that a Northampton County man has been sentenced to more than 100 years in prison for possessing child sexual abuse material.

Northampton County Judge Brian Panella sentenced 67-year-old Ricky Raisner to 110 to 500 years on more than 50 felony counts. The Office of Attorney General won a trial conviction in July on all charges.

Judge Panella noted the very young ages of the children involved in the images shown during the trial, and the egregious acts depicted.

“We hope this sentence sends a clear message that possessing child sexual abuse material is explotation and abuse of children, and will be treated with such severity in court,” Attorney General Sunday said. “Our Child Predator Section continues to uncover individuals across the Commonwealth viewing, collecting, and sharing these vile materials — that work will not stop.”

The Office of Attorney General’s Child Predator Section responded to a tip and traced an IP address to Raisner’s Mount Bethel home. Agents executed a search warrant at the home and seized devices containing child sexual abuse material.

The case was prosecuted by Senior Deputy Attorney General Michelle Laucella.
