HARRISBURG — Attorney General Dave Sunday announced that a Centre County man has been sentenced to 15 to 30 years in prison for his role in a high-level, State College-based, drug trafficking organization.

Larry Brickhouse, 51, of State College, had previously been found guilty of one count of possession with intent to deliver heroin/fentanyl, and cocaine, one count of conspiracy/possession with intent to deliver heroin/fentanyl, and cocaine, and one count of criminal use of a communication facility after a three-day trial.

“This defendant was a key player in a large-scale trafficking network that brought poisons to Commonwealth communities,” Attorney General Sunday said. “I applaud the investigators involved in taking down this ring, and thank the jurors for their diligence in reaching a just verdict that ultimately closed this toxic pipeline.”

According to evidence presented by the Office of Attorney General during trial, Brickhouse was a co-conspirator with network head, Larry David, in trafficking heroin/fentanyl and cocaine from New Jersey to State College. From David’s residence in State College, the heroin/fentanyl and cocaine were then distributed to State College and surrounding communities. Brickhouse was one of a number of individuals that both assisted in the transport of drugs from New Jersey to State College as well as the selling of those drugs from David’s residence in State College.

In all, 14 people, including Brickhouse and David, were charged for their roles in the drug trafficking organization. Four of those charged are awaiting trial and ten have already pleaded guilty and been sentenced. David is deceased.

This case was prosecuted by Deputy Attorney General David C. Gorman of the Drug Strike Force Section.
