HARRISBURG — Attorney General Dave Sunday announced that a Centre County jury has convicted a man for his role in a high-level, State College-based, drug trafficking organization.
Following a three day trial, the jury found Larry Brickhouse, 51, of State College, guilty of felony possession with intent to deliver, conspiracy/possession with intent to distribute, and criminal use of a communication facility. He will remain at Centre County Prison until sentencing on July 11.
The charges resulted from a presentment from the 48th Statewide Investigating Grand Jury.
“This defendant played a major role in distributing deadly drugs throughout Centre County,” Attorney General Sunday said. “Thanks to the jury’s thoughtful verdict and the relentless work of prosecutors and investigators, this trafficker’s time pushing poisons into our neighborhoods has ended.”
The Office of Attorney General presented evidence — including of controlled buys, search warrants, and recorded conversations and communications — that Brickhouse assisted distribution network leader, Larry David, in trafficking methamphetamine and heroin/fentanyl from New Jersey to State College communities.
In all, 12 people, including Brickhouse and David, were charged for their roles in the drug trafficking organization. David is deceased.
This case was prosecuted by Deputy Attorney General David C. Gorman of the Drug Strike Force Section.
