Conviction Integrity Unit

Launched in 2020, the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General is pleased to announce the creation of the Conviction Integrity Unit, Pennsylvania’s first statewide section for reviewing questionable past convictions. The section aims to fairly evaluate applicant cases and pursue corrections for individuals who have been denied justice. The section will be led by Lisa Lazzari-Strasiser, the former Public Defender for Cambria County and District Attorney for Somerset County, on behalf of the Office of Attorney General and AG Josh Shapiro.
