Charles Matthew Holmes served as a Narcotics Agent II (Essington/Philadelphia Office) with the Office of Attorney General, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania from 1990 to his death on April 11, 1995.
Narcotics Agent Holmes served in Law Enforcement for over 30 years, including the Philadelphia Police Department as well as the Office of Attorney General; and served our Country as a Command Sergeant Major in the U.S. Army Reserves.
Charles Matthew Holmes died at age 52 on April 11, 1995 from injuries he sustained from an automobile crash that occurred while on duty on March 27, 1995.
The Office of Attorney General honors Agent Charles Matthew Holmes for his service to this Commonwealth and to this Country and ensure that his service be remembered.
Every year April 11 will be remembered as Agent Charles M. Holmes Day in the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General and this day will be celebrated to keep the memory of his service and sacrifice alive.
