  • Assistant Director for General Litigation-Bureau of Consumer Protection: Philadelphia (00253580)

    This employee will report to the Director of the Bureau of Consumer Protection and will oversee all standard attorney work involving investigations and litigation within the Bureau. The Bureau of Consumer Protection is authorized to perform the following duties:

    • Investigate commercial and trade practices in the distribution, financing and furnishing of goods and services for the use of consumers;
    • Conduct studies, investigations and research into matters affecting consumer interests and make such information available to the public;
    • Advise the Legislature on matters affecting consumer interests, including the development of policies and the proposal of programs to protect consumers;
    • Investigate fraud and deception in the sale, servicing and furnishing of goods and products, and strive to eliminate such illegal actions;
    • Promote consumer education and publicize matters relating to consumer fraud, deception and misrepresentation.

    Temporary Attorney-Public Protection Division: Harrisburg (56006000)

    The Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General is seeking temporary attorneys for a 6 month appointment with the opportunity to extend.  A minimum of 2 years of experience reviewing documents for civil and/or general litigation is required.  Successful candidates must be able to pay attention to detail, maintain confidentiality of the documents, and have the ability to discern the potential evidentiary value of reviewed documents.

    Civil Litigation Attorney

    The Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General is seeking a Pennsylvania licensed attorney with 2 to 6 years of experience to join our Civil Litigation team in Harrisburg. Litigation experience—including experience in handling civil rights claims, employment matters, and constitutional issues—is desired. The successful candidate must possess excellent oral communication and written skills and must also be able to effectively handle a heavy caseload.

    Tax Litigation Attorney

    The Office of Attorney General is seeking a Pennsylvania licensed attorney with 2 to 6 years’ experience in state and local taxation. Litigation experience, including appellate or trial work is desired. Experience in federal taxation is also a plus. The successful candidate must possess excellent oral communications and writing skills and strong organizational skills to effectively manage a heavy caseload.
