Allegheny County man arrested after delivering 10 bricks of heroin
HARRISBURG - Attorney General Kathleen G. Kane today announced the arrest of an upper-level heroin dealer in Allegheny County, which resulted in the seizure of 10 bricks (500 bags) of heroin that contained the stamp "Play Dead."
Willie James Means Jr., 43, 805 Leech St., McKeesport was arrested after a controlled "buy bust" operation by agents from the Office of Attorney General's Bureau of Narcotics Investigation (BNI), officers from Frazer Township Police Department and officers from the North Versailles Police Department.
Means is charged with one count of possession of heroin, one count of possession with the intent to deliver heroin, one count of delivery of heroin and one count of criminal use of a communication facility. He was preliminarily arraigned before North Versailles Magisterial District Judge Robert Barner and held in the Allegheny County Prison in lieu of $25,000 straight bond.
Attorney General Kane thanked the Frazer Township Police Department and the North Versailles Police Department for its assistance with the investigation. She noted that the investigation is ongoing and additional charges are anticipated.
The case will be prosecuted in Allegheny County by the Allegheny County District Attorney's Office.
