Westmoreland County man arrested on child pornography charges
HARRISBURG - Attorney General Kathleen G. Kane today announced the arrest of a Westmoreland County man as part of an ongoing effort to target the online sharing, downloading and distribution of child pornography.
Attorney General Kathleen G. Kane identified the defendant as Jesse Cross, 23, 4079 Stratford Drive, Irwin, Westmoreland County.
Agents from the Attorney General's Child Predator Section, who were conducting an online investigation into the sharing of child pornography allegedly found numerous images depicting adolescents engaged in graphic sexual activity being shared from Cross's computer.
Cross was arrested on Oct. 1, 2013 by agents from the Child Predator Section with the assistance of the Pennsylvania State Police - Greensburg. Cross is charged with seven counts of possession of child pornography, four counts of distribution of child pornography and one count of criminal use of a communication facility.
The case will be prosecuted in Westmoreland County by Deputy Attorney General Anthony Marmo of the Attorney General's Child Predator Section.
