Warren County man found guilty in prison taser incident

 HARRISBURG - A Warren County man, who was incarcerated in the Warren County Jail on unrelated charges, has been found guilty following a jury trial on charges that he assaulted a corrections officer with a taser.

 The jury found that Eddie Gray, 22, overpowered a guard, stole a taser, jabbed it into the guard's arm and pulled the trigger, delivering a violent shock. He also assaulted another guard.

 In all, the jury found Gray guilty of seven counts, including aggravated assault, assault by a prisoner, disarming a corrections officer, use/possession of an electronic incapacitation device and criminal attempt/escape.

 Immediately following the trial, Warren County Judge Gregory Hammond sentenced Gray to 15 years, two months to 30 years, four months. The sentence was ordered to run consecutively with a previous sentence on unrelated charges.

 Gray was prosecuted by Senior Deputy Attorney General L. Todd Goodwin of the Attorney General's Criminal Prosecutions Section.
