LifeSmarts: Join The Ultimate Consumer Challenge

LifeSmarts is a fun and educational game for students to showcase their consumer skills while learning and developing new ones as they compete electronically with other students across Pennsylvania. Players and teams may come from schools, families, 4H, neighborhoods, community centers, youth groups, home schools and other similar organizations.
LifeSmarts is open to all students in grades 9-12. Study the resources and take the practice quizzes. When you feel prepared, enter the Pennsylvania online competition.
2006-2007 LifeSmarts State Competition
Congratulations to the students from Cumberland Valley High School, named Pennsylvania State Champions at the competition held February 27, 2007 in Harrisburg. It will be the first time a team from Cumberland Valley advanced to the National Finals. Last year Pennsylvania hosted the National LifeSmarts Competition, however, this year, our winners will travel to Lake Buena Vista, Florida on April 21 - 24 to compete. We wish the students the best of luck at Nationals!
Pennsylvania had 1,699 students take the online tests from 36 high schools, representing 19 counties. This was the highest number of participants than any other state. Based on the results of their online scores, the following nine high school teams advanced to the State Competition: Coatesville Area High School, Cumberland Valley, Dallas, Greater Latrobe, Halifax, North East, Radnor, Schuylkill Valley and William Tennent High School. After a full day of live competition, Cumberland Valley High School was named our winners and Greater Latrobe was named our runner-ups. Greater Latrobe was also our runner-up last year.
Congratulations to all of the students across the Commonwealth that participated in this worthwhile and educational program.
