Annual Calendar Contest
Each year, fifth graders from around the state are asked to submit an anti-drug poster using the Attorney General's theme of "Staying Drug-Free." A total of 13 winning drawings are selected for the calendar, with the grand prize winner's drawing on the cover. The calendars are used as part of drug education efforts by the Office of Attorney General across Pennsylvania.
Reducing school violence has been the subject of an extensive outreach effort by the Office of Attorney General, in cooperation with the PA Bar association. Project PEACE is an innovative peer mediation program designed to help young people resolve disputes peacefully, preventing minor disputes from escalating into deadly tragedies. More than 160 elementary schools have now adopted the Project PEACE model, giving children the tools and skills to work out their disagreements through the rest of their school years, and beyond.
