Washington County man arrested on charges he sexually assaulted two young girls
HARRISBURG - Attorney General Kathleen G. Kane today announced the arrest of a Washington County man on sexual assault and rape charges.
According to the criminal complaint, Curtis Thompson Jr., 29, 390 Pigeon Creed Road, Scenery Hill, sexually assaulted and raped two young girls when they were 5- and 7-years old. The charges state that Thompson, who was 17 years old at the time of the alleged incidents, often assaulted the girls while he was babysitting.
Thompson is charged with two counts of rape by forcible compulsion, two counts of indecent assault, two counts of indecent assault of a victim less than 13 years of age, two counts of terroristic threats, one count of rape of a victim less than 16 years of age with actor being four or more years older than the victim, one count of sexual assault and one count of criminal solicitation
Thompson was arrested on Dec. 19, 2013, preliminarily arraigned in Washington County and released on $50,000 unsecured bond. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Dec. 31, 2013.
The case will be prosecuted in Washington County by Senior Deputy Attorney General Laura Ditka of the Attorney General's Criminal Prosecutions Section.
