Child Predator Unit: Three men arrested on child pornography charges

HARRISBURG - Men from Philadelphia, Clinton County and Franklin County have been arrested as part of an ongoing effort to target the online sharing, downloading and distribution of child  pornography.

Attorney General Kathleen G. Kane identified the defendants as Richard Moore, 40, 1482 Park Ave., Woolrich, Clinton County, John Scheibelhut, 48, 1271 Pittman Road, Mercersburg, Franklin County and David Adduci, age unknown, 2219 Knorr St., Philadelphia.

According to the criminal complaint, agents conducting an online investigation found more than a dozen files containing depictions of children - specifically pre-teens engaged in sexually graphic acts and poses. Agents later determined the files were allegedly downloaded to Moore's computer.

Moore was arrested on Aug. 22, 2013 by agents from the Attorney General's Child Predator Section and charged with 10 counts of possession of child pornography, four counts of distribution of child pornography and one count of criminal use of a communication facility.

A search of Moore's Park Avenue residence resulted in the seizure of a laptop, which will be analyzed by the Attorney General's Computer Forensics Unit as part of a continuing investigation.

The case will be prosecuted in Clinton County by Deputy Attorney General Christopher Jones of the Attorney General's Child Predator Section.

John Scheibelhut
Scheibelhut was arrested by agents from the Attorney General's Child Predator Section on Aug. 28, 2013 following an online investigation into the distribution and possession of child pornography.

According to the criminal complaint, Scheibelhut downloaded numerous files depicting children engaged in sexually graphic acts and poses. Agents executed a search at Scheibelhut's Mercersburg residence and seized computers and electronic equipment, which will be analyzed by the Attorney General's Computer Forensics Unit as part of an ongoing investigation.

Scheibelhut is charged with four counts of distribution of child pornography, four counts of possession of child pornography and one count of criminal use of a communication facility.

Scheibelhut was preliminarily arraigned at the Franklin County Central Booking facility and held on $200,000 cash bail. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Sept. 10, 2013.

The case will be prosecuted in Franklin County by Deputy Attorney General Christopher Jones of the Attorney General's Child Predator Section.

 

David Adduci
Agents from the Attorney General's Child Predator Section arrested Adduci on Aug. 28, 2013 following an eight-month investigation into the online distribution of child pornography.

The charges state that Adduci downloaded images of children as young as 3 years old engaged is sexually graphic activity.

Adduci is charged with one count of distribution of child pornography and one count of possession of child pornography.

Agents executed a search of Adduci's Knorr Street residence and seized computers and electronic equipment, which will be analyzed by the Attorney General's Computer Forensics Unit as part of an ongoing investigation.

Kane thanked the Philadelphia Police Department for their assistance with the investigation.

Adduci will be prosecuted in Philadelphia County by Deputy Attorney General Christopher Jones of the Attorney General's Child Predator Section.
